FUNDAMENTAL CLINICS
Detroit Lions Youth Football Clinics provide fundamental football education on quarterback, running back and wide receiver play. Clinics are conducted on a year-round basis for your youth football organization, parks & recreation department, community service group, fitness facility or health club. These 90 minute clinics provide a good foundation of key fundamentals! Boys & girls ages 6-14 are eligible to participate.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS
Sign up for Detroit Lions Skill Development Sessions (SDS)! These one-hour sessions include detailed, one-on-one, position-specific instruction. Video analysis allows for individual evaluation and comparison which aids in the overall player development. Participants receive a DVD of their SDS for future evaluation -Inquire about the possibility of conducting your SDS at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions!

EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES
The "Lions Leaders for Life" program discusses the importance of developing leadership qualities in school, in the community, at home, and on the playing field; in other words, helping children develop leadership qualities for life. The objective of the program is to utilize football as an avenue to convey these life-skills in a fun and educational forum. Assemblies are held September-April of each school year and are conducted by Chris Fritzsching, Director of Youth Football, and Roary, the Lions Mascot.
COACHES CLINIC
Here's your chance to bring a football education program to your community! The Detroit Lions Youth Football staff will conduct three 50-minute fundamental position clinics designed for a youth football coaching staff! Clinic includes handouts, outlines, and most importantly, fun talking the game of football
HALFTIME YOUTH FOOTBALL GAMES
Sign your youth football team up to play at Ford Field during halftime of a Detroit Lions game! Your 7-9 year old team will be fully padded and scrimmage another youth football team of the same age and weight in front of 65,000 fans! Teams are selected during June each year.
YOUTH FOOTBALL FORUM
Join The Detroit Lions Youth Football Forum - designed to discuss issues critical to the day to day operation of youth football conferences, organizations, and teams. The Forum consists of 39 representatives from 25 different leagues around the state of Michigan. The purpose of the Youth Football Forum is to allow for discussion of key topics, meet new league representatives and share innovative ideas with the hope of gathering new programs, concepts and rules for the betterment of the youth football experience.
